What is the $64,000 question we all ask? What makes my company different? Which differences add value? What difference does it make in light of our new economic and cultural landscape? Low and behold, in exploring these questions for myself, I discovered more questions. American Made? Locally, what businesses do I know that are delivering their products with materials produced in the United States? Local Trade? With how many of those suppliers can I trade locally and keep my dollars at home? Thus creating a cycle of local investment for my city, state, and region (stimulus plan)? Green Solutions? Of those, how many are “Green Industries” providing me with products and services which help me increase my companies “Green Initiatives”? Factory Direct? Take all of this and then ask: who creates direct customer savings by selling “Straight from the Moo to you” – no distributor to split the pot? For one, GreenTek. Now if not before, we can say “Yes I know someone.” Please understand that I’m not a protectionist by nature or politics. But in these times I’ve found myself inspired to buy as local as possible. I ask more questions. I peal the onion to discover – how American are they? How Green is this product? The more American, the more meaningful it becomes. Ironically, after all of the thought I put into the $64,000 question, I found that I had to look no further than my own backyard for the answer: If you’re asking these questions: how can I save money, save jobs, and help the environment, then please contact me to discuss further the values we share and discover solutions for your company too.
